LOUD Tour Comes To An Emotional Finish

The LOUD tour was Rihanna’s fourth concert which took the superstar all across the globe. Beginning on June 4th 2011 in Baltimore, the tour consisted of 98 concerts including her very first concert in Barbados and ten sold out dates at the London O2 Arena.

It has caused a lot of sweat, tears and sleepless nights but the record-breaking endeavor came to an emotional end on December 22nd at the O2 Arena in London. Prior to the final show, Rihanna replied to a tweet by one of her fans asking about the final show saying, “I’m scared for it to be over! I won’t forget this for the rest of my life! What a life changing experience! I learned so much.” She went on to say that she has learnt “A LOT about myself.”

Nearing the end of the concert, her fans didn’t want to se her leave and they requested an encore of ‘Take A Bow’, ‘Umbrella’ and ‘We Found Love.’ However, before her encore performances she told her fans: “ cannot believe this is the last show. It really sucks. I’m going to miss you all so f–ing much. This tour has been one of the best experiences of my life, I’ve grown so attached to you all – more than I ever thought I could be.”

Cheryl Cole tweeted the singer expressing just how impressed she was: “Just left last #Loud concert. Amazing!! To put on 98 of the same shows like that and give your all takes something special.”

That’s all folks, it’s all over. We look forward to seeing you in 2012 but for now, enjoy your family time and have an extraordinarily Merry Christmas.

Rihanna Lashes Back At Dutch Magazine

Rihanna recently took to Twitter to respond to a fashion writer’s comments in the latest issue of “Jackie,” the Dutch Magazine. The article, which degrades the Barbadian singer refers to her as the “ultimate n****b***” and consists of multiple inaccuracies.

The Dutch version will be of no help to those of you who speak English so here is a more direct translation: “She has street cred, she has a ghetto ass and she has a golden throat. Rihanna, the good girl gone bad, is the ultimate niggabitch and displays that gladly, and for her that means: what’s on can come off. If that means she’ll be on stage half naked, then so be it. But Dutch winters aren’t like Jamaican ones, so pick a clothing style in which your daughter can resist minus ten. No to the big sunglasses and the pornheels, and yes to the tiger print, pink shizzle and everything that glitters. Now let’s hope she won’t beat anybody up at daycare.” Read the rest of this entry

Rihanna Encounters Racist Hotel Guest In Portugal

No one would think that a pop megastar such as Rihanna would have to waste her time with such ridiculous things but that’s just not the reality. During her concert on Saturday in Lisbon she was forced to run off stage to have an emergency stomach evacuation and the horrible night didn’t end there. Upon her return to her hotel, she got into an altercation with a racist guest. ( B*tch who do you think you are? )

Voicing her anger via Twitter she said, “I just met the most racist c— EVER!!! This man said the craziest s— about black women – called us dogs, sluts, we don’t look like s—, we don’t belong in the same hotels.”

If this guest knew anything at all about Rihanna, he would know to never mess with a bajan woman. “Needless to say, the n—- in me came out!” she said. “Bajan accent and all! Lol! Turns out the hotel manager’s black.”

On a happier note, despite Rihanna’s stomach problems during her performance of ‘What’s My Name,’ she was able to return quickly for a flawless performance of ‘Rude Boy.’ She tweeted, “PORTUGAL tonight was LEGENDARY!!!”

Have a look at her performance in Portugal. Despite the fact that she ran off stage at 1:55, her dancers did an excellent  job at continuing the routine!

Lady Gaga Named Top Earning Woman In Music By Forbes ; Followed By Taylor Swift & Katy Perry

Lady Gaga recently took hold of the No.1 spot on the Forbes top-earning women in music list. She raked in a staggering $90 million US dollars for the fiscal year of 2011, which was brought about by record-breaking album sales of ‘Born This Way,’ a world tour for the album and multiple endorsements by companies such as VivaGlam and Virgin Mobile.

Surprisingly, country singer Taylor Swift came in at No.2 with $45 million. These earnings all came about due to her ‘Speak Now’ album, her Wonderstruck perfume, her tour and Cover Girl contract.

Katy Perry, who also executed a lengthy tour scored in the No.3 position with $44 million. There is no doubt that she garnered all this cash through her summer album “Teenage Dream” which also gave her record breaking five chart topping singles.

British angel Adele grabbed the No.9 spot with a total of $18 million, which came about from the record-breaking sales of her album “21.” Adele was forced to cancel her tour due to inevitable illness but if she were able to carry out a worldwide tour, her profits would have definitely been much higher.

Mommy-to-be Beyoncé owns the No.4 position with $35 million and Barbadian beauty Rihanna sits at No.5 with $29 million.  Celine Dion rolls right in front of Adel by a mere $1 million, which secured her the No.8 spot with $19 million. Rihanna Talks About Her Role In Battleship

Capital FM recently had an exclusive interview with Rihanna where she spoke about her role in the upcoming movie ‘Battleship.’ The Peter Berg directed film is centered on a fleet of ships that are forced to battle with an armada of unknown origins in an attempt to discover and thwart their apparently destructive goals.

Rihanna talks about her role in the movie which she describes as “one of the coolest experiences I’ve ever had in my life”. She plays a major character by the name of Raikes. “My character is a weapons officer, a badass, she’s tattooed up and she’s in control of the weapons on the ship,” she said.

She continued, “She knows everything about every single weapon – it’s a really cool role.” Raikes is one of the only females on the ship and is seemingly one of the most powerful.

The ‘We Found Love’ hit maker also dished out that she has always wanted to play a really “badass character” and that her dream is now being realized. She also wants to do more movies in an attempt to grow as an individual.

She loves “Being out their in the ocean, literally shooting weapons with (director) Peter Berg, Liam Neeson and Taylor Kitsch. It’s really surreal to be in the centre of all that for my first film, but I’m really comfortable working in that group.”

The film is set to be released in Spring 2012 and will mark Rihanna’s debut in the film industry and onto the big screen. Judging by her love of acting, the superstar is sure to continue her screen roles.

Rihanna Performs ‘We Found Love’ On The X Factor USA

Rihanna just jumped on the stage of “The X Factor USA” to perform her hit single, ‘We Found Love’ off of her upcoming album, ‘Talk That talk.’ The Pop Mega-Star wore a plaid tube top, a decked out bomber jacket full of badges with the American flag on the back, torn acid wash jeans and black boots. She stayed true to her ‘We Found Love’ persona from head to toe.

RiRi emerged from behind a fence with a few of her backup dancers and as they hit the center stage decorated with neon signs, a flurry of dancers appeared and they all began to party to the Calvin Harris production.  Rihanna decided to throw out the detailed choreography for this one as both her and her dancers went wild on the stage. They looked like they were having tons of fun and it really brought out the meaning of the track.

As the performance came to an end, Rihanna leaned back on her knees while she sung the final note. RiRi flew in from her world tour just to perform and after her performance, she was asked to give the finalists a little advice. She said, “Umm, there’s so much advice I could give but I would say most importantly, you have to love what you do. If you don’t it’s a waste of time because its not easy, its really hard. So if you love it, it never feels like work.”

Rihanna will be performing on The X Factor UK (Sunday, Nov. 20) and on The Ellen DeGeneres Show (Monday, Nov. 21).
