Adele Is In No Rush To Create A New Album
Adele has secured her position in the hearts of millions of fans as she continues to wow and entice them with her emotional vocals based on heartbreak. The British singer revealed during an interview with Billboard that her fans can’t expect another album for another two to three years.
She said, “I imagine I’ll be 25 or 26 by the time my next record comes out, as I haven’t even thought about my third record yet.” At this point, Adele is “looking forward to some time to do nothing.” Maybe enjoy a pina colada on the poolside or spend some time with her family, the possibilities are endless.
“I’m just gonna lay some concrete, set up home and just ‘be’ for a bit,” she says. “I’ll disappear and come back with a record when it’s good enough. There will be no new music until it’s good enough and until I’m ready.” Adele is clearly set in her ways and it’s great that she knows exactly what she wants to do and how she plans to go about doing it.
Luckily for Adele, her latest release ’21,’ has been her greatest success. The album has given her six Grammy nominations including Record of the Year, Best Short Form Music Video, Song of the Year, Best Pop Solo Performance, Best Pop Vocal Album and Album of the Year. She has also been named iTunes’ Artist of the Year and is featured on the cover of Billboard’s year-end/year-in issue.
Adele has become one of the music industries greatest powerhouses and she has a bright future ahead of her. Upon the full recovery of her vocal abilities, Adele will be back to shake up the industry once more.
Adele Makes History Covering Billboard’s Year End/Year In Magazine
Adele, the British Chanteuse selling more than 4.8 million units of her album ’21,’ will grace the cover of the year-end/year-in issue of Billboard magazine. Adele was plagued with throat problems this year, which forced her to cancel her tour. However, her album ’21,’ based on a tragic story of heartbreak touched fans all across the world and continued to sell millions of copies.
The issue refers to 2011 as the ‘Year of Adele’ featuring members of her team speaking about her raw talent and how blessed they are to work with her. Adele has made history being the first female singer to take top artist, single and album all in one year. “Adele knows how good she is. You can’t underestimate that. Artists that tend to work long term, most of them tend to have a clear-cut idea of who they are,” said Rob Stringer, Chairman/CEO of Columbia Records. “Adele can kind of do it all. She’s never cocky… but she doesn’t fear to tread, ever.”
Producer Rick Rubin, who recorded and produced ‘21’ commented on Adele’s success: “She said she wanted to make an organic album that was of one sound, not a patchwork quilt of different-sounding tracks pieced together.” He said.
Adele underwent surgery to remove a benign pulp from her throat, which was successful but prevented her from talking and singing. Her recovery is under way and we wish Adele a healthy and productive 2012.
Adele Undergoes Vocal Cord Surgery
Adele recently travelled to Boston where she underwent surgery to stop a recurrent vocal cord hemorrhage which forced her to cancel her scheduled U.S. and U.K. tour dates. The surgery was successful and her doctor “expects Adele to make a full recovery from her laser microsurgery.
Adele underwent her surgery at the Massachusetts General Hospital who released a statement saying – her “condition is typically the result of unstable blood vessels in the vocal cord that can rupture.”
It continues : “Based on the advice of her doctor and voice therapist in the United Kingdom, Adele came to Boston to consult and undergo corrective voice surgery with Dr. Zeitels, the Director of the Massachusetts General Hospital Voice Center. Dr. Zeitels, who is also the Eugene B. Casey Professor of Laryngeal Surgery at Harvard Medical School, has pioneered many vocal cord surgical procedures including the use of specialized lasers to stop vocal cord bleeding in singers. He has performed this unique procedure for many vocalists including Steven Tyler, allowing him to return to full performance.”
“Doctors have ordered her to rest her voice and completely recuperate before looking to schedule any work commitments.” We look forward to seeing Adele make a healthy recovery and continue on the road to success.
Adele Will Record The New James Bond Theme Song
The rumors have now been confirmed. Adele has finished writing the new James Bond theme song and will soon be off to the studio to record it. A source told The Sun newspaper: “Adele is the obvious choice to record the next Bond theme. The last few songs for the spy movies have hardly set the charts alight. After her success this year filmmakers know the song is almost guaranteed to be a huge hit.”
With relation to the new James Bond film known to the public as Bond 23 (until the real title is announced), Daniel Craig makes his return for his third 007 film. He recently stated, We’ve got a great script this time. I’m as excited about this script as I was about the ‘Casino Royale’ script. I think in Sam we’ve got the perfect director. The cast is coming together now. I can’t wait to get going with it.”
The film is projected to be released in October 2012. Bring it on!
Adele Cancels U.S. Tour
One again Adele has been forced to cancel her tour due to a medical problem. As of late Adele has been Rolling In The Deep as se suffers from a hemorrhage in her vocal cord. Adele was forced to cancel her previous tour due to her laryngitis but this hemorrhage is clearly more devastating.
Adele made a very emotional post on her website where she expressed her sorrow to her fans.
“Singing is literally my life, it’s my hobbie, my love, my freedom and now my job. I have absolutely no choice but to recuperate properly and fully, or I risk damaging my voice forever. I have great confidence in believing you know how much this upsets me, how seriously I take it and how truly devastated and annoyed I am by this,” she wrote. “Wanting to do something so bad and not being able to is the most frustrating thing as I’m sure you know!
“My voice is weak and I need to build it back up. I’m gonna be starting up vocal rehab [soon] and start building my over all stamina in my voice, body and mind,” she continued. “I will be back and I’m gonna smash the ball out the park once I’m touring again. I apologise from the bottom of my heart, sincerely I do. I know it’s not only disappointing because of the show, but it’s plane tickets, hotel bookings, birthdays, anniversaries and time wasted. But please have faith in me that this is the only thing I can do to make sure I can always sing and always make music for you to the best of my ability. Truly yours and yours only forever, Adele xx”
Adele, we wish you a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing you soon!

During her show at the O2 Academy in Newcastle earlier this week Adele paid tribute to the late Amy Winehouse. Adele was suffering from a chest infection earlier this week but made a miraculous return to the stage where she dedicated “ Make You Feel My Love” to Amy on what would have been her 28th Birthday.
RIP Amy & Happy Belated Birthday!
